Convergent testing is the best way to see how your eyes are working together. Normal eye control and strength does not cause any dizziness or symptoms and we ca typically look 2 to 3 inches from our nose. Testing is more accurate if we do this slowly, in and outward, 3 to 4 times. If we see an eye drift outward or we see both eyes moving back and forth this is a positive test. Further testing in the clinic during cranial nerve loading to the nerves of the eyes can tell us if a nerve is being pinched or entrapped. This video shows us how testing is done.
